Derek Reynolds is a Graphic Designer.
Born in our Nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. but raised in the small town Wirtz, Virginia, Derek Reynolds has always had a passion for art and design. He started his art career by creating traditional oil and acrylic paintings at the tender age of 9—capturing family likenesses and rural, mountainous landscapes. It wasn’t until a summer family vacation back to Washington, D.C. did another form of art catch his eye. Mesmerized by large billboards and signs that swarmed the city, Derek immediately began training to translate his traditional artistic talents into quality digital design. He’s never looked back since.
Derek’s creative voice shines through his work by mixing his traditional artistic roots with contemporary techniques for inspiring graphic design. His experience working with diverse audiences and clientele is reflected throughout his graphic design. For example, working for large corporations gave him the skills and know-how to juggle multiple clients and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment. While working in-house, Derek learned how to balance his creativity to create innovative, appealing projects that are true to brand guidelines. As a freelancer, he gained strong communication and analytical skills to provide targeted customer service, guidance and development to create exceptional digital experiences for diverse users. Combined, Derek is highly qualified and confident to work with a variety of clients to craft clear designs with effective messaging to enrich brand development and marketing execution.
